Why angle matters more than most owners expect

Measuring your boot height at home

Open your boot and measure straight down from the load lip to the ground. As a rough guide, a ramp should be at least three to four times the height it needs to cover to keep the incline manageable for a dog with limited hind-leg strength.

Standard vs Long — which to choose

A ramp is only as useful as its surface grip — check that it has a genuine non-slip texture rather than a smooth painted finish, and confirm its stated weight capacity comfortably covers your dog's weight with some margin, particularly if they hesitate or shift their weight while crossing.
